2015 AFCON Semi Finals Rocked With Violence After Equitorial Guinea Lose To Ghana

There is nothing as painful as losing a match especially when playing at home. We have all seen violence in our stadiums after our own Gor Mahia lose to opponent teams whether playing at home ground or away. You thought this only happens in Kenya? Think twice.

The 2015 AFCON semi finals between Ghana and Guinea witnessed dramatic scenes after Guinea received a 3-0 beating while playing at home. Things got worse after Ghana scored their third goal where they (Ghanaian players and fans) were pelted with bottles, stones and even glasses. Guinea fans are said to have been furious at injustices in the field in the hands of the referee. Antiriot police had to teargas Guinea fans so as to contain the violence. Here are pictures from the incidence.

Do you think the situation could have been better if the games were held in Kenya?
