Are Our Students Living In Fear? See What Happened At KMTC Kitui
It is barely a week since we lost a student at UoN Kikuyu campus due to terror scare. Most of the students had to jump from as high as 6th floor of their hostels after electrical hitches caused explosions that made students think it was another Garissa like university attack.
Yesterday, according to rumors doing rounds on social media circles, students at KMTC kitui had to run for their dear lives after they received leaflets warning them of a terror attack. It is not known who dropped the leaflets but no one was injured. Calm has been restored and all is well now.
Here is what the “New Comrades Forum”, a Facebook group managed by college students updated about the incident.
“KMTC KITUI STUDENTS RUN FOR THEIR LIVES
AFTER RECEIVING LEAFLETS ALLEGEDLY FROM
Things were all cool at Kenya Medical Training
College (KMTC) Kitui campus the whole day. The
calmness was later distracted in the evening
hours when an anonymous letter was collected in
the campus gate warning them about the
Alshabaab visiting their school. They could not
ignore it bearing in mind the anonymous letter
said to have been dropped at Garissa.“
