Mohamed Kuno Named As The Man Behind The Garissa University Attack
Today Kenya woke to more shocking news of the attack at Garissa University by Al Shabaab militants who forced their way into the institution at around 5:00am in the morning and went on a shooting spree. The militants are sad to have held hostage the students in their hostels and begun shooting them.
Mohamed Kuno, a former teacher in Garissa has been named as the mastermind behind the Garissa University attack. The Kenyan government has placed a Sh. 5 million bounty on the said Al Shabaab fugitive. By the time of writing this article, the death toll at the institution had risen to 21 with over 50 people being injured. Close to 500 students cannot be accounted for.
Following the attack, President Kenyatta has ordered the immediate admission of the 10,000 recruits whose selection was nullified by the courts due to bribery allegations, to Kiganjo recruits training college to commence training. The President said he will take full responsibility of his orders.
It is alleged that there were rumors of the attach happening yesterday but by virtue of it being the 1st of April, most people took it to be the usual fools day prank.
