President Uhuru Kenyatta and His Deputy William Ruto Mourn Hon. George Muchai
Today, Kenyans and Kenya woke up to the sudden death of Kabete MP Hon George Muchai who was murdered in cold blood alongside his 3 aides. Leaders from both political divides have been sending their condolence to the family and the people of Kabete whom he represented. President Kenyatta and his deputy Ruto took to Facebook to mourn the deceased. Here is what they posted.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the killing, in cold blood, of Kabete Member of Parliament, Hon. George Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver early this morning.
A humble and diligent gentleman, the late Hon. Muchai was a true servant of the people and his death is a huge loss not only to his family and the people of Kabete Constituency who he served with dedication but to the entire nation.
Investigations are already underway and I expect the Police to mobilize all resources to ensure the criminals who murdered Hon. Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver are speedily apprehended and made to pay for their heinous act according to the law.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Hon. Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver at this time of great sorrow and grief.”
